The Literary Phoenix

Funny, the damage a silly little book can do. Especially in the hands of a silly little girl.

delicious.

the wind pinches her cheeks,
her nose a little red cherry
as the snow clings to her mittens
in tiny little clumps.

woosh-woosh
she walks about without a care.
Her pink snowpants
the latest in fashion.

her tiny pink tongue
grabs sparkling flakes
as they descend
to earth

(where they will disappear
into piles of the same…
remembering the moment
when they saw her
sugary sweet smile)
