The Literary Phoenix

Funny, the damage a silly little book can do. Especially in the hands of a silly little girl.

Teeth.
Diamonds sharpened to the point,
like a mouthful of daggers
that sparkle when he smiles.
Even the strongest polish
cannot wipe away the bloodstains.

I see the teeth,
his teeth,
glistening under the crescent moon
as he tears into flesh…
one victim,
then the next.

His teeth that smile
across the dinner table
while shimmer with the lies
he has fed me.

Diamonds to distract.
A tyranny of teeth.
Rip.
Tear.
Mutilate.

Destroy.

Every time I close my eyes
I see his pointed
white
teeth.
